Island Transfers

There are 2 main island transfer options for guests and visitors to use that wish to get to and/or from the island...

The options are to either fly from Maputo Airport over to the island in the afternoon each day at about 3:45pm (SAT 8AM only) or at the weekends you can use/catch the early morning Ferry/s that make the 90 minute trip 34Km out across Maputo Bay to Inhaca Island...

It is strongly advised to use our Reservations Office for these island transfer travel options and arrangements.

The island flight departs for the island each day of the week from Maputo Airport at 15:45 - The flight takes only about 10-15 Minutes but you have to "check-in" at Maputo Airport an hour before the flight time.

Note: On Saturdays the daily flight is not in the afternoon but at 08:00am in the morning.

Each flight that departs for the island has an immediate "turn-around" on the island and returns back to Maputo about 1 hour later.

Please Note: As there is only ONE FLIGHT PER DAY - and the aircraft only has 17 seats it is best to book a reservation via our Central Reservations Office as soon as possible once your lodge accommodatrion has been confirmed.

Once your accommodation and flight requirements have been confirmed our Central Reservations Office will send our clients a Ticket "Voucher" for any flights that are booked via our office.

This Voucher will only be issued to our clients once the/any outstanding Balance Invoice for the accommodation and the flight costs has been paid to the lodge.

Please also note that the weekend flight dates and Monday flights are ALWAYS very busy so please make your flight and booking reservation with us as soon as possible to save any seat booking disapointments..!

Please contact our Central Reservations Office for any large group booking that may require a private Charter flight to be arranged.

The ferry departs from Maputo main fishing harbour at 07:45am - Passengers need to "check-in" at the Ferry Terminal in the main Fishing Harbour on the river (south side of town) at least 45 minutes before Departure time.

The bay crossing will take approx 2 hours and will arrive at Inhaca Island's Ferry Jetty - which is located about 100metre along the beach from the Lodge.

Reserevations and Tickets for this ferry can be arranged by our Central Reservations Office on request - This is advised..!
